Atalanta have announced Raffaele Palladino as their new head coach, with the Italian signing a contract that runs through June 2027.

The confirmation comes less than a day after the club parted ways with Ivan Juric, following a disappointing stretch of performances.

At 41, Palladino steps in to guide La Dea at a pivotal stage of the season. His appointment was first revealed on Tuesday by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. Juric’s departure followed a heavy 3-0 home defeat to newly promoted Sassuolo a result that left club executives dissatisfied after just 11 Serie A matches of the 2025/26 campaign.

Previously in charge at Fiorentina, Palladino earned recognition for his dynamic, attack-minded philosophy and his commitment to nurturing young players. Though his tenure in Florence ended amid internal disagreements, his methods and footballing vision continue to command respect throughout Italy.

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi voiced confidence in the club’s new direction under Palladino, praising his ambition, enthusiasm, and long-term outlook.

The new coach’s immediate priority will be to stabilise domestic form while managing Atalanta’s European commitments. He is expected to lead his first training session later this week as preparations get underway for the next Serie A fixture.
