Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has said he is determined to ensure Cole Palmer is properly protected.
Maresca spoke after Palmer’s standout performance in Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Everton on Saturday, where the midfielder found the back of the net.
The England international has featured in only four league matches this season after battling groin and toe injuries that kept him sidelined for more than two months.

In an interview on the club’s official website, Maresca explained that Palmer will not be rushed back into a demanding schedule.
“I already said many times, Cole is one of the players that deserves to be protected.
“He is not available to play two games in three days.”
