Paternity Saga: Mother of teen accuses Davido of lying, calls for US Embassy-supervised DNA test

The mother of a teenage girl who recently claimed to be the daughter of Davido, Ayo Labinjoh, has reacted to the Afrobeats star’s public rejection of the paternity allegation.

The issue surfaced after the teenager, Anu Adeleke, shared an open letter on Instagram, alleging that she had suffered intense bullying following the unresolved paternity dispute.

In the letter, she appealed to Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, to undergo a DNA test to confirm her identity.

Responding, the singer dismissed the claim, stating that five DNA tests had already been carried out.

According to him, three of the tests were conducted at hospitals he selected, while the remaining two were done at facilities chosen by the child’s mother.

The 33-year-old artiste said all five results were negative, insisting that he is not the teenager’s father.

Shortly after his response, Labinjoh used her daughter’s Instagram account to counter Davido’s claims.

She alleged that the earlier DNA tests were compromised and demanded an independent process overseen by the United States embassy.

Labinjoh said she first met Davido in 2013 while working as a waitress at GQ Club in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

She questioned the credibility of the five DNA tests referenced by the singer and accused his former lawyer, Bobo Ajudua, of distorting facts surrounding two of them.

Anu’s mother further claimed that a DNA test carried out in 2014 under the supervision of Adedeji Adeleke, Davido’s father, was done in a laboratory rather than a hospital. She alleged that her daughter’s blood sample was discarded and a false result was later produced.

“I’m NOT David’s baby mama or a b*tch. David Adeleke has largely ignored me for years because he thought he picked up a prostitute from GQClub in Ibadan. I was a waitress and not picked up on the streets. I come from a good home,” she wrote.

“Last time, it was his lawyer Bobo Ajudua who brainwashed Nigerians that there were 2 tests done, and I chose the hospital. Dr Deji Adeleke took us to a LAB not a hospital where Anu’s blood was drawn in 2014 then discarded behind our backs and fake result was printed.

“Wale Sobola was the lab technician who masked as “Dr Alex” and a brother to Sotayo Gaga a Nollywood actress was the one who wrote an epistle on his page 3 years ago that he never did a test for Anu and discarded the blood drawn blaming the wickedness for his life’s travails. We wasted our time, disrupted Anu’s mental health then they lied that we did two tests, now 5 and then he’s never met me. I’m not fighting for my daughter.

“I will request the US State Department to contact the Embassy in Lagos or Abuja to help us supervise and witness a clean, independent DNA test.”

She ended her response by criticising the language Davido used in addressing the matter.

“I will not say much for now. The language used was awful. My daughter did not beg to be here. Saying you’ve never met me or telling your family that I was a prostitute is wrong,” she said.
