The celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has achieved her third Guinness World Records (GWR) title after being recognised for the largest serving of rice.

In an Instagram post, Baci revealed that she received an email from Andrew Fanning, a member of the GWR creative team, explaining that her June record attempt had earned her an additional milestone. While setting the record for the largest serving of Nigerian jollof rice, she also surpassed the benchmark for the largest serving of rice overall.

According to Fanning, the new record was awarded “proactively” after Guinness World Records reviewed the guidelines of both categories and confirmed that her original attempt qualified for the broader title.

“It has come to our attention when comparing record guidelines of the two record titles that when you and your team attempted and achieved “Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice” you also achieved the record title of “Largest serving of rice” so you have been proactively awarded this record title too,” the email stated.

“Many congratulations from me on behalf of Guinness World Records, you are Officially Amazing (again)!”

Reacting in her caption, Baci said the recognition came as a complete surprise and filled her with joy. She described the moment as unexpected and reflected on it as a testament to God’s faithfulness, saying the achievement felt like a blessing and a meaningful way to begin the new year.

“Woke up a three-time Guinness World Records holder and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it,” she wrote.

“What a way to step into 2026. This morning, I was just doing my usual routine, casually scrolling through my emails, when I saw the message come in. I was shocked and happy at the same time, completely caught off guard.

“Five months after the initial record announcement, I was just finding out that there was more. Honestly, God is faithful. The kind of faithful that still surprises you.

“This feels like such a beautiful reminder that even when you think you’ve seen the full picture, God can still say, “There’s more.” What a blessing, and what a way to enter this new year.”

Guinness World Records also confirmed in a blog post that food brand Gino was recognised as a co-holder of the record, noting that the feat involved more than 8,000 kilograms of rice.

“The largest serving of rice is 8,780 kg (19356 lb, 9 oz) and was achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino (all Nigeria), in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, on 12 September 2025,” the post read.

Baci had earlier earned her second Guinness World Record on September 12, 2025, for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, after preparing a dish weighing 8,780kg at Eko Hotels and Suites. The event attracted celebrities, dignitaries and members of royalty.

She first entered the Guinness World Records in May 2023 after setting the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
