A wave of loan deals, recalls, and bargain transfers defined Premier League deadline day, with clubs across the top flight and EFL adjusting their squads ahead of the crucial final stretch of the season. Sky Sports confirmed the following moves before the January transfer window shut.

Angel Gomes arrived at Wolves on loan from Marseille to bolster their midfield for the rest of the campaign. Tyrique George temporarily left Chelsea for Everton, as the Merseyside club sought greater speed and creativity on the wings. Adam Armstrong sealed a permanent move from Southampton to Wolves, although the transfer fee was not disclosed.

Sunderland completed the signing of Nilson Angulo from Anderlecht for £17.5m, making him one of the club’s priciest acquisitions. James Wilson joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan from Hearts, continuing Spurs’ focus on developing young prospects. Nottingham Forest strengthened their defensive options with the £2m signing of Luca Netz from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Crystal Palace secured Jørgen Strand Larsen from Wolves in a £48m deal. Brighton welcomed back Matt O’Riley after ending his loan spell at Marseille, while Manchester City recalled Sverre Nypan from Middlesbrough. Liverpool also brought back James McConnell from his loan at Ajax.

Axel Disasi completed a loan move from Chelsea to West Ham United, and Arsenal finalised the signing of Evan Mooney from St Mirren in a deal that was not made public.
