The Kwara State Government has begun disbursing March salaries to civil servants ahead of the Eid al-Fitr celebration.

This was disclosed in a statement posted on the government’s official Facebook page on Tuesday.

According to the government, the early payment is intended to reduce financial strain on workers as they prepare for the festive period.

The statement also highlighted the administration’s dedication to workers’ welfare and its consistency in paying salaries promptly, particularly during major celebrations.

“Eid al-Fitr: In line with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s longstanding tradition, the Kwara State Government has commenced the payment of March salary to the civil servants in the state to enable them to meet their needs, during the forthcoming Eid celebration.

“Governor AbdulRazaq has continued to maintain a leadership style that puts smiles on the faces of Kwarans, including civil servants,” the statement read.

The early payment is expected to ease the burden on workers, who often face increased expenses during festive periods.

With salaries already paid, civil servants can better handle essential needs such as food, clothing, transportation, and family obligations tied to the celebration.

Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, is a major occasion for Muslims around the world, celebrated with prayers, charity, and gatherings among family and friends.
