Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has confirmed that her third studio album, titled ‘Starr Girl’, will be released in July 2026.
She announced the project during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she also shared her excitement about the body of work.
“My album ‘Starr Girl’ drops in July…I’m so proud of this body of work. I put everything into it, and I can’t wait for the world to hear it,” she said during the interview.
The multi-award-winning singer said she is fully satisfied with the project, which fans have been anticipating since she began teasing it in 2025.
Ahead of the album release, Ayra Starr has dropped several singles that hint at its direction, including her latest track ‘Where Do We Go’, released in March.
The song signals a shift toward dancehall-influenced pop, moving slightly away from traditional Afrobeats percussion and linguistic styles, suggesting a broader global pop appeal.
It follows a run of 2025 releases such as ‘Hot Body’, ‘Gimme Dat’ featuring Wizkid, ‘Who’s Dat Girl’ with Rema, and the Afro-R&B track ‘All The Love’ released on Valentine’s Day.
