Actor Yul Edochie has advised men against kneeling to propose to women, describing the act as degrading and unnecessary.
The actor, who has been sharing relationship advice on X in recent weeks, urged men to maintain their dignity by proposing while standing, rather than going on their knees. He also advised men to walk away from any woman who insists on such a gesture.
In his post, Edochie stressed that kneeling to propose makes men appear foolish and should be avoided entirely. He maintained that men should carry themselves with pride when asking for a woman’s hand in marriage.
According to him, any woman who demands that a man must kneel before proposing does not genuinely value him and should be left.
“If men know how stupīd they look when they kneel to propose to a woman, they’ll never indulge in such crap. Never kneel to propose to a woman.
Never. Stand proudly like the King that you are and propose to her. If she says you must kneel to propose to her or she leaves, let her go. Dump her.
“She doesn’t love you. Never make a fool of yourself for a woman.
“Any woman who truly loves you will not watch you make a fool of yourself,” he wrote.
