Yul Edochie has intensified his criticism of , stating that the former Anambra governor “is no match for President Bola Tinubu”.

In a series of posts on his X page, the actor argued that Obi’s time as governor lacked significant impact and claimed his leadership style makes him unfit to lead Nigeria.

“Peter Obi is not a true Igbo man. He does not have the spirit of Ndi Igbo in him. He’s not a leader,” Edochie wrote.

Referencing the Igbo saying “onye aghana nwanne ya” — meaning “do not leave your brother behind” — he accused Obi of failing to uplift others during his years in power.

“How can you spend many years in power, many years as a successful business man, yet nobody can say he’s successful today because of you,” he added.

“You can’t even lift your family members.”

Drawing comparisons with his own career, Edochie said: “In Nollywood, there are people who will tell you they’re successful today because of Yul Edochie.

“Not one person can say that about Peter Obi. Are you a saddist?”

He further questioned Obi’s use of influence and dismissed his achievements as governor.

“What are you doing with the power God has given you? If you can’t lift people around you out of poverty, you simply can’t lift Nigeria out of poverty,” he said.

“Peter Obi built nothing in Anambra.

“Absolutely nothing. If you can’t build Anambra you can’t build Nigeria. Simple and short.”

He concluded by restating his position: “Peter Obi is no match for Tinubu.”

The actor had earlier claimed that any political party Obi joins would eventually collapse due to what he described as a “non-physical” issue.
