AirlineRatings has released its 2026 list of the world’s best airlines, with Qatar Airways taking the top spot as the best full-service carrier globally.
The annual ranking evaluates airlines based on in-flight experience and service quality, placing Cathay Pacific in second place and Singapore Airlines in third.
According to AirlineRatings, the assessment is based on measurable factors such as seat comfort, onboard dining, entertainment, and overall service quality, rather than public voting.
“These awards are based on measurable onboard criteria rather than public opinion or voting,” the organisation stated.
The report highlights the continued dominance of Asian and Middle Eastern airlines, reflecting their strong investment in passenger comfort, modern aircraft, and premium services.
It also notes that the awards are designed to help travellers choose airlines that deliver the best overall flying experience across different categories, including economy, business, and first class.
