British-Nigerian rapper Joseph Adenuga, popularly known as Skepta, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over the country’s deteriorating security situation.

In a social media post, the 43-year-old grime star expressed concern about the state of the nation, questioning how much hardship Nigerians should continue to endure.

Skepta’s remarks come amid growing public anger over rising insecurity across the country. Recent incidents include the abduction of students and the killing of a teacher in Oyo State.

A number of Nigerian celebrities have also spoken out, urging the government to take stronger and more decisive action to address the crisis.

This marks the second time in two days that the London-born artiste has commented on the challenges facing Nigerians.

On Friday, he appealed for international attention to what he described as the “deep level of injustice” in Nigeria, insisting that the country “needs help”.

“Whenever I come, whether it is at my show, verbally, imagery, whatever we can do, we are going to speak up for injustice at all times,” he said.

“Nigerians, we are like that as people, whether it is Congo, Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran and Cuba.”

“But please help us Nigerians, we need help too, we need people to speak up for us as well.”
