Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has achieved another career milestone after her hit single, Bloody Samaritan, received a silver certification in the United Kingdom.

The certification was awarded by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), recognising the commercial success of the song, which was released in 2021 as part of her debut album, 19 & Dangerous, under Mavin Records.

The achievement further cements Ayra Starr’s growing influence on the global music scene and places her among a select group of Nigerian artistes whose projects have earned silver certification in the UK.

Among them is Burna Boy, whose albums African Giant, Twice As Tall and Love, Damini have all achieved the feat.

Asake has also secured similar recognition for his album Work of Art and the hit single Lonely At The Top.

Other Nigerian stars with UK silver-certified projects include Wizkid for Made in Lagos, Davido for Timeless, Tems for Born in the Wild, Omah Lay for Boy Alone, and Rema for Rave & Roses.

Singer CKay also earned the certification for his global smash hit, Love Nwantiti.

The latest recognition highlights the continued global rise of Afrobeats and the growing international success of Nigerian music talents.
