Nollywood actress Omeche Oko has recounted a frightening experience after narrowly escaping death in a serious motorcycle accident on a movie set just three days before her birthday.
The actress shared a video of the incident on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
According to the clip, Oko was filming a scene on a motorcycle with her colleague, Victory Michael, who was operating the bike when it crashed into a pole at the filming location in Lagos.
Victory Michael hit his chest on the pole and lost consciousness briefly while Omeche broke one of her legs.
Colleagues and crew members rushed to the duo to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.
In her caption, Oko revealed that she came very close to death, describing life as “very fragile.”
She wrote, “Life is very very fragile. It could have been a different story but God said No. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God.”
Some of her colleagues, including Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Alichi Chizzy Mbah, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike, Toniala Aladese, Doris Ifeka, and Onyi Alex as well as producers Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim Effiong thronged to the comments section to send her well wishes.
