Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that his wife, Chioma Adeleke, oversees his finances, describing her as his “life coordinator”.
The Grammy-nominated singer made the revelation during a live session on Davrel Twitch.
During the broadcast, Davido attempted to transfer $4,000 to his personal assistant, Lati, but encountered difficulties accessing his bank account due to network issues.
He then called his wife on speakerphone and asked her to complete the transaction on his behalf.
“Hello baby, good morning my wife, my love. Help me send Lati $4,000. I can’t log in. I don’t know why, it’s the service here. We’re taking off now to Naija. I love you,” he said.
When asked by the streamer if Chioma had taken responsibility for managing his finances, Davido confirmed that she had, attributing the decision to his spending habits.
“Of course. You know I’m a reckless spender. Na she dey arrange everything. Na my life coordinator be that,” he said.
The singer also disclosed that his monthly personal expenses in Nigeria range from $200,000 to $300,000.
Davido explained that his spending differs based on where he is staying, noting that his expenses are lower in the United States, where he lives with only his wife and children.
“I actually spend less in Yankee because I live with just me, my wife and my kids,” he said.
