Rema has returned with his first solo release of 2026, dropping a new single titled ‘Tea’ alongside its official music video.

The track, which became available on Friday, was produced by Mustard in collaboration with London, one of the singer’s longtime producers. It delivers an upbeat Afrobeats sound, combining rhythmic log drums, catchy melodies and an energetic vibe.

In the song, the award-winning artiste cleverly turns the phrase “this girl, her body…” into the repeated chant “tea tea tea,” creating a playful anthem that celebrates feminine beauty.

‘Tea’ marks Rema’s first solo offering this year, coming after an impressive streak of achievements on both the local and international music scene.

The singer, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, shot to fame after joining D’Prince’s Jonzing World, an affiliate of Mavin Records, in 2019.

His worldwide hit ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez made history in 2023 by becoming the first recipient of the MTV Video Music Awards’ Best Afrobeats prize.

In 2024, his sophomore album ‘HeIs’ broke Spotify Nigeria’s first-week streaming record before earning a nomination for Best Global Music Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards, where ‘Alkebulan II’ by Matt B claimed the award.

Rema also added to his growing list of accolades by winning the Best Male Artiste and Digital Artiste of the Year categories at the 16th Headies Awards.
