Kunle Adegoke, SAN to Deliver Keynote Address at UNILORIN homecoming in honour of ex-JAMB Registrar, Prof. Oloyede
The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has named renowned legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN, as the keynote speaker for its Homecoming Celebration in honour of former Vice-Chancellor and immediate past Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Is-haq Oloyede, CON
The event, which will also feature the Investiture Ceremony of Distinguished Alumni and University Ambassadors, is scheduled to hold on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the University Auditorium, Main Campus, University of Ilorin.
Adegoke’s invitation was conveyed in an official letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, who described him as an accomplished legal luminary whose contributions to jurisprudence, scholarship, leadership, and national development have earned widespread acclaim.
The keynote address, themed From Beneficiaries to Benefactors,” is expected to challenge alumni and stakeholders to move beyond celebrating their educational experiences to actively investing in the growth, sustainability, and future of their alma mater.
The University said the Homecoming Celebration is designed to honour the enduring legacy and remarkable contributions of Professor Oloyede, the institution’s 8th Vice-Chancellor, while recognising outstanding alumni whose professional accomplishments continue to elevate the University of Ilorin’s profile globally.
Adegoke is expected to deliver a thought-provoking address focusing on leadership, public service, nation-building, and the critical role of alumni engagement in strengthening educational institutions and advancing societal progress.
Widely respected within legal, academic, and public policy circles, Adegoke has distinguished himself through decades of courtroom advocacy, mentorship, scholarship, and contributions to governance reforms, making him a fitting voice for a gathering dedicated to celebrating excellence, service, and institutional advancement.
