Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya has assumed office as the 33rd President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
She was inaugurated on Friday at a ceremony held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where her predecessor, Afam Osigwe, SAN, administered the oath of office.
The ceremony was attended by senior members of the legal profession, judicial officers and other dignitaries.
In his farewell address, Osigwe officially handed over the leadership of the association to Badejo-Okusanya and presented her with the formal handover note.
Addressing his successor, Osigwe said, “This is your handover note. A more comprehensive one will be given to you later. I hereby now out.”
Badejo-Okusanya’s inauguration marks the beginning of her tenure as the 33rd president of the NBA.
