A three-storey building in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, has collapsed, hours after occupants were reportedly served a quit notice by the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s (FCTA) Department of Development Control.

The incident occurred on Monday evening, with no casualties recorded as of the time of filing this report.

Lere Olayinka, media aide to Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, said rescue efforts were ongoing at the scene of the collapsed building.

He added that officials of the FCT Fire Service had arrived at the site, while three ambulances were deployed to the area to provide emergency medical support.

Olayinka told TheCable that the occupants had been issued a quit notice earlier on Monday after the building was observed to be showing signs of distress.
