Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has departed the Federal High Court in Kaduna after the court adjourned further hearing in his case until December 8, 2026.

The adjournment came after a new prosecuting counsel was assigned to the case and sought more time to familiarise himself with the matter before the next court sitting.

El-Rufai had earlier arrived at the court for proceedings in a separate case involving the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The case is being heard by Justice Hauwa Buhari.

The former governor’s latest court appearance comes amid ongoing legal proceedings involving him and the anti-corruption agency over allegations of financial misconduct during his tenure as governor of Kaduna State from 2015 to 2023.

The ICPC has been investigating allegations relating to his administration.

El-Rufai has denied wrongdoing in connection with the allegations.
