[TRENDING VIDEO] Outrage trails as Wike’s son faces $2.1 million land deal dispute in Abuja court

19

Social media has been buzzing following a civil suit filed by Garba and his company, GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, against Jordan Wike, son of Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The legal dispute centers on a joint venture where Jordan allegedly agreed to provide 3.2 hectares of land in Guzape and Katampe, Abuja, in exchange for $4.2 million in funding, with proceeds to be split 60-40 in Garba’s favor. Legal representatives for the claimant allege that Jordan collected and acknowledged a payment of $2.1 million as part payment before changing his story.

Meanwhile, Jordan Wike has denied receiving the funds, claimed his signatures were forged, and presented passport evidence attempting to prove he was out of the country at the time. The case, presided over by Justice Silvanus Oriji at the FCT High Court, has been adjourned to December amid a bias transfer request and an existing EFCC petition from December 2025 that has seen no major updates.

The unfolding controversy has sparked widespread outrage across online platforms regarding asset acquisition and accountability.

Here are reactions to the story:

Santos (@Yod100Hashem): Do you now see what they want the govt to remain by all means?? Who is Jordan Wike? What is his profession? Where has he worked? Where is earning records? How did he have access to hectares of land in Abuja?

Ikechukwu Lawrence (@O…): Let’s assume this is true without conceding since there are no verifiable evidence yet. Know Nigerians can see why Wike would do anything, give anything just to see Tinubu return in 2027. Also a reason why im less than 1-year in office baba begin claim lands for Abj

Olu Ibadan 👑 (@ChatOlum…): Where does Wike son get that amount of land in the first place?. Did he buy the hectares of land or it was allocated to him?. If he purchase the land, where did he get the money to buy such property in Abuja. This is what @adeyanjudeji have been saying about Wike sharing lands.

VERGUS GLOBAL (@vergusgl…): Imagine some whose indigenous identity is in south south making a tremendous amount from north Central while the actually owners of the land are impoverished

Gaga (@clearanceGaga): So if I understand clearly, the man was hoping that wike will grab lands and give to his son, then he’ll build on them, sell & they share profits. So why give wike’s son the money, proof of funds should have been enough. I think this story is just the one that’s legally viable

Zamba (@lee_zamba): Listened to everything this lawyer said I and i understand that Nigeria is gone under the leadership of Tinubu and wike…if wike’s son can boldly do this without any fear of justice from the court, imagine what seyi tinubu would do 💔

Citizen🗽 (@TeamNGN): Nigeria fantastically corrupt.. Judiciary in the hands of politicians EFCC, chose and pick who to investigate and who to look away. Even a wike son, can get shielded from EFCC investigation despite petition to same EFCC..

CEO (@CeoChany): @OlayinkaLere has never seen such kind of money in his entire existence and may not even see it till he leaves mother earth. But here is a boy in his 20s dealing with such funds while Lere comes online to do political boy for the father. Political slavery is funny

.🛜 (@Guavapine_): I love professional lawyers that do everything to protect the clients name. God please open the gates of visibility for my career

Menelik II ✝️ (@cisero81): Where did Jordan Nyesom Wike get money to buy 1.5 hectares of land in Guzape? This boy has never worked in his entire life so where did he get money from to start going into multi million naira real estate deals in Guzape with people???? @officialEFCC will look the other way.

tweet oracles (@OraclesTweet): Wike and Sons… Criminal Family…

Koke Obasi (@KokeObasi275…): Wike son Jordan started early and if Tinubu wins… Nigerians will still serve him as future governor of Rivers State…who owns the land in the first place 🤔

CEO (@CeoCharly): Even Seyi Tinubu has never done such na the Obiakpor criminal wheyn leave Rivers come Abuja to come landgrab and sell. You just wonder why are these people always stealing? Both the claimant sef fit be thief join cos why give a small boy such money for land ?

Santos (@Yod100Hashem): If the son of Wike can brazenly embark of this level of Yahoo without any fear, nor care of how Nigerians may react or about the laws of the country, just imagine what he will do if his father is the president. And as usual, APC hypocrites of SW have kept mute on the issue.

Kingssporty (@kingssporty): So someone can take cash of $2.1 million inside car and efcc doesn’t know… Omo like father like son!!! Now we know that why wike is fighting for Tinubu to return… he wants to loot the money to pay back🤣🤣🤣… like father like son! Son a thief and father of a thief🤣🤣🤣

OgaHANS🇳🇬 (@OgaHans): Maybe you didn’t get this gist. Bro! Jordan Nyeson Wike, a boy under 30 who has never pursued a notable Career or business venture is already doing financial transactions worth over 1million dollars.. Whilst you’re singing their praise, they’re looting your common wealth. 😅

Essentials🐾🇧🇪 (@usermalware): Efcc they submitted everything you requested over a year now and you haven’t done anything meaningful nor make impact. Much expected of your almighty party organization.

PȯPȯƳ ΛΛ-IYȯ́H (@DadiAa…): You’re here running point for Wike and co but his children are cutting deals in dollars

BB12131970 (@EfunnugaAdammers): This sounds like a JVC kind of a project. The question remains, where does Wike son expect to get that large expanse of land if not through a fraudulent means, same means that is being perpetrated under his father in Abuja, what a shame

trixken (@trixken02): Why was he lying at first

Duolingo (@Duolingomark): I have nothing to say. May God help this man to get justice.
