[TRENDING VIDEO] “Imagine Trump talking to Americans like this,” outrage trails as Tinubu launches 2027 reelection campaign in Kaduna, blames opposition for hardships

Social media has been buzzing following the official launch of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 reelection campaign in Kaduna, where he publicly accused the opposition of creating poverty and hunger in the country.

Speaking alongside Vice President Shettima and First Lady Oluremi, the president vowed to eradicate these challenges under his Renewed Hope 2.0 agenda.

In part he said, “I hear my opponents talking about hunger and poverty. Who created it? They did! To you, the children of our country, it’s a promise of a second term – prosperity; you will not regret it.”

The remarks quickly drew fierce backlash, with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar hitting back by calling the comments delusional, while critics online pointed out the worsening economic realities, including soaring fuel prices, currency depreciation, and a rising poverty index.
