The Nigerian naira continued to trade against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Friday, 25 September 2026.
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), as reported by Naija News, showed that the local currency exchanged at ₦1,329.5138 to $1 on Friday.
The latest figure represents a slight change from Thursday’s rate of ₦1,328.6687 to $1.
At the parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market, the naira closed on Friday at ₦1,390 to the dollar.
However, rates offered by commercial banks, Bureau de Change (BDC) operators and other foreign exchange dealers may vary from the reference figures because of transaction margins, as well as prevailing demand and supply conditions.
Market participants are expected to continue monitoring foreign exchange inflows, demand for dollars and CBN policies for indications of whether the naira can maintain its recent gains through the month.
