Social media has been buzzing as internet users express outrage and share mixed opinions following a video showing Hon. Pascal Okoro, known as Ajangwo, an APC councillor for Avu/Oforola Ward 1 in Owerri West, Imo State, destroying white and blue campaign materials at Avu Junction.
He explicitly stated that no other political party should operate in Avu, prompting widespread criticism online for undermining Nigeria’s multiparty democracy.
Reactions include calls for police and security intervention, with some linking it to similar disputes over campaign materials elsewhere in Imo State this year.
No official response from authorities has come yet.
