Osun Govt. acquires 20 new patrol vehicles, security gadgets

The Osun State Government has announced the acquisition of 20 patrol vehicles and communication gadgets for security operatives in the state.

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola said this on Saturday in Inisa, Osun State, during this year’s edition of the annual Inisa Day celebration.

The new vehicles, according to him, will be supported with 20 Armoured Personnel Careers to improve security in the state.

Oyetola, who was represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, said security of lives and property of residents remained the top priority of his administration.

He, however, charged residents to cooperate with the security agencies by giving them relevant information that would prevent crime and guarantee adequate security in the state.

On his plans for the rural areas, the governor stressed that his administration was working hard to rehabilitate roads in the rural communities for easy movement of farm produce to urban centres.

Advising the state’s youths, Oyetola said, “They must imbibe the Omoluabi ethics of discipline, integrity, hard work and honesty and shun social vices such as armed robbery, drugs addiction, rape, alcoholism, kidnapping and cybercrime.”
