The National Business and Technical Examinations Board has fixed May 24 and May 31 as the closing dates for the ongoing registration for the National Common Entrance Examination and the May/June In-School Certificate Examinations.

The announcement was made in a statement released on Wednesday in Benin by the board’s Assistant Director of Media and Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah.

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of National Business and Technical Examinations Board, Aminu Mohammed, appealed to schools, parents, guardians and prospective candidates to complete their registration before the deadlines.

Mohammed stated that registration for the May/June In-School Certificate Examinations would end on May 31, while registration for the National Common Entrance Examination would close on May 24.

He noted that the board had simplified the registration process through dedicated online portals to make the exercise easier and more convenient for candidates and schools.

According to him, schools registering candidates for the May/June In-School Examinations must first obtain registration slots through their respective state offices.

He added that schools are expected to capture candidates using the NABTEB biometric software and complete the registration through the official portals after securing login details and making the necessary payments.

Mohammed further explained that candidates seeking to register for the National Common Entrance Examination must obtain Personal Identification Numbers through state offices before completing their online registration, while schools can also process bulk registration through designated login credentials.

The registrar reaffirmed the board’s commitment to using technology to improve examination administration and service delivery across the country.

He urged candidates and school authorities to strictly follow the registration guidelines and ensure that candidates’ information is correctly submitted.

Mohammed also advised members of the public to contact the nearest NABTEB state office or visit the board’s official registration platforms for additional information and assistance.
