Nigerian content creator, Kevin Blak, has revealed that he turned down an alleged request to participate in President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

The comedian, widely recognised for his pointed impersonations and political satire, disclosed this in a video shared on his Instagram page.

In the clip, he read out a message he said was sent to him, encouraging him to use his platform in support of the president.

Born Kevin Chinedu Arua, Blak — who boasts more than 450,000 followers on Instagram — reaffirmed his stance that his content focuses on holding leaders accountable rather than promoting partisan interests.

“You see the kind of videos that I post, and you have the mind to come and tell me to join the campaign for Tinubu. I would read some of the messages, and it is quite disturbing for me,” he said, expressing disbelief at the proposal.

“I have been watching your content. Please sir, you are not impressing me. You are only using your content to fight my leader, President Tinubu. I just want to let you know that President Tinubu is bigger than mere comedy sessions,” he added while quoting from the alleged message.

The entertainer, also known as Governor Amuneke, further stated that his creative vision goes beyond any individual politician or political party.

According to him, his work is inspired by a broader Pan-African objective focused on promoting accountability and good governance throughout the continent.

“My content is bigger than Tinubu. It is bigger than Nigeria. It is for the entire Africa — for a better Africa. Politically, for us to know what we are supposed to do. That’s what gave birth to the kind of content I do,” he said.

He stressed that his role as a social commentator is not tied to electoral cycles or party affiliations.

“Even after Tinubu, we would still be here to address things. Even if things get better, you would still see me address the loopholes. So, it is beyond you. It is beyond the APC,” he said.
