[VIDEO] Nimmy Ferrari’s father denies plans to sell late actress’ house amid family dispute
The father of late Nollywood actress Nimmy Ferrari has denied claims that he plans to sell the house his daughter built, dismissing the allegations made by his ex-wife as “all lies”.
Nimmy recently died from complications linked to a fibroid surgery.
The dispute within the family began after Nimmy’s mother accused her former husband’s family of trying to interfere in matters concerning the property left behind by their late daughter.
The actress’ mother alleged that members of Nimmy’s paternal family had objected to her being buried in the house she built.
She further claimed that the family was planning to sell the property and called on Nigerians to intervene.
In a video that has gone viral, Nimmy’s father responded to the allegations, saying, “Everything she’s saying is all lies”.
He explained that his only request was for his former wife not to organise an elaborate event for their daughter’s burial.
The bereaved father also alleged that Nimmy’s mother removed all the belongings from her daughter’s newly built house.
“I did not kill my daughter. I cannot kill her. Everything she has been saying is a lie. They have carried away all her property. I do not know where she lives. People have been calling me and cursing me. My daughter came to greet me when I built my house in Abeokuta. That woman did not support me at all when I built that house,” he said.
“I told her not to fry bean cake. That was just what I told her. That child died at age 31. I only want her to give visitors snacks like biscuits and water, and they should pray for the dead.
“She came back to live with me for two months after the death of her husband; she remarried. She parked the child’s property, including her car and money, a day after she died.”
