Renowned comedian Sabinus, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, has expressed his sincere regret to Ghanaians for making fun of them after their country’s elimination from the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) competition.

His apology follows the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s defeat at the hands of the Ivory Coast in Sunday’s AFCON championship game, which took place at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

While many Nigerians expressed disappointment and pointed fingers at José Peseiro, the team’s coach, and the Super Eagles players, Sabinus chose to extend an olive branch to Ghanaians, asking for their forgiveness and emphasizing the importance of living with love and unity.

He shared a photo of himself pleading and captioned it, “Ghanaians, please forgive and forget.”

He further added, “Ghana, don’t be upset!!! We move forward with one love.”
