Veteran Nigerian comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, popularly known as Alibaba, asserts that Mark Angel, the skit maker, is among the wealthiest comedians in the country.
He mentioned that Mark Angel makes as much as $300,000 monthly. Alibaba shared this information during the recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, noting that Mark Angel’s low-profile approach might be why some people underestimate his wealth.
He said, “Some people still don’t believe Mark Angel is one of the richest comedians. Until somebody then hears how much YouTube, Facebook pay him every month. You hear someone is making up to $300,000 a month. And you are like, ‘Is it not that guy that wears big shorts and acts crazy?”
Alibaba pointed out that if Mark Angel were a politician, banker, or oil merchant, people would readily acknowledge his wealth.
However, due to his profession as a comedian, many tend to doubt his financial success. Alibaba advised against underestimating the comedy profession and encouraged people to recognize its value.
