American-British online influencer Andrew Tate, brother Tristan detained in Romania

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been apprehended in Romania following the issuance of European arrest warrants by the UK, as confirmed by his representative.

The accusations, which span from 2012 to 2015, involve allegations of sexual aggression, according to his team.

In a statement, the Tate brothers unequivocally deny all charges.

Romanian authorities stated that UK authorities issued European arrest warrants on Monday for two individuals for sexual offenses. The alleged offenses also included exploitation in Great Britain, as per the Romanian police statement.

The two men were brought before the prosecutor attached to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, who ordered their detention for 24 hours, police reported.

A spokesperson for the social media influencer indicated that the court will determine on Tuesday whether to proceed with the warrant.

They characterized the arrest warrant as a surprising resurgence of decade-old allegations, causing the brothers to feel dismayed and deeply troubled.

“They categorically reject all charges and express profound disappointment that such serious allegations are being resurrected without substantial new evidence,” the statement said.

“They are fully committed to challenging these accusations with unwavering determination and resolve.”
