The winner of Season 7, Ijeoma Josephine Otabor, often known as Phyna, has come under fire from former Big Brother Naija housemate Maryanne Ahneeka Iwuchukwu for publicly criticising the reality show’s organizers about incomplete prices.
Remember Phyna angrily blasted the BBNaija organisers for not paying her the $1BTC that one of the sponsors owed her. She claims the award has increased in value to much than N100 million.
Ahneeka responded by criticising Phyna for criticising the organisers in public, claiming it wasn’t “a wise idea.”
Featuring on the ‘Terms & Conditions’ podcast, the reality star stated that Phyna and other past winners don’t deserve their prizes to the extent of being entitled.
Ahneeka said:
“The thing about Phyna is, the thing that happens when you come out of Biggie’s house and out of nowhere, from 200 followers, you have millions of people, you think you are invisible.
“It happens to everybody. It takes thoughts and management to continue hustling.
“If truly the organisers are owing Phyna money and that could be a possibility, it’s still a job at the end of the day. She needed to have found an inner counsel. Maybe she has done that and tried to have a civil discussion and it didn’t work out, I don’t know.
“But if she thinks the best way is to blackmail them on social media, I don’t think it is wise. She could have easily not emerged as the winner.
“She could have easily been the runner-up. And people saying she deserves the money, listen to me, nobody deserves that money.”
In a similar story, Phyna has renewed her public demands that Multichoice give her the money that she is still owed.

BBNaija champion Phyna revealed earlier this year that she has not yet received a portion of the prize money from the programme in a series of ferocious social media outbursts.
She has been awarded the N50 million grand prize, but according to sources, the show’s sponsors were also expected to provide other promised awards, such as the Quidax Global 1 BTC.
But since her win in 2022, these extra presents have not arrived, which has Phyna angry and loud about the delays.
In a recent viral video online, the vibrant lady expressed her frustration as she cried to the show organizers to demand why they had yet to settle her while they were in preparation for a new show.
