Burna Boy cancels Minneapolis, Chicago tour dates over low ticket sales

Burna Boy has unexpectedly cancelled a major stop on his ‘No Sign of Weakness’ United States tour, originally set for November 28, 2025, at The Armory in Minneapolis.

The cancellation was confirmed through the Ticketmaster platform on Thursday — just a day before the scheduled concert.

A second show, slated for Chicago on December 1, 2025, has also been cancelled.

Although organisers have not disclosed an official reason, the development follows heavy public backlash directed at the Grammy-winning artiste.

The criticism began after a viral incident in Colorado, where Burna Boy removed a couple from the front row for sleeping during his performance. The pair left the venue to mixed reactions from the crowd.

The conversation escalated when an Instagram live session showed the singer saying he prefers only supporters who purchase his tickets.

The public backlash deepened even further when reports surfaced that the woman involved was grieving a recent personal loss.

In the early hours of Friday, Burna Boy confirmed the cancellations through his Instagram Story, sharing a link showing only the Minneapolis and Chicago shows were affected, while the remaining tour dates remain in place.

Earlier, an impostor X account masquerading as Yabaleftonline falsely claimed that five tour dates had been cancelled, prompting the real page to issue a correction.
