A Federal High Court in Abuja has once again postponed the assault and battery case involving Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, with proceedings now scheduled for October 13 and 14.

The lawsuit, filed in November 2025 by Levi Ogbogiri, also known as Kraziecent, accuses the rapper of assaulting him without provocation during a public event on December 16, 2024.

Ogbogiri alleged that he was peacefully taking photos and recording videos when the incident happened, claiming the encounter led to assault, battery, emotional distress, and damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.

During Tuesday’s hearing, the claimant’s lawyer, Uchenna Ojembe, informed the presiding judge, Adeyemi Ajayi, that his client, who is the sole witness in the matter, was present and prepared to testify.

However, defence counsel Damilare Adeojo requested another adjournment, citing a motion filed on November 25, 2025, which had already been served on the claimant’s legal team. He asked the court for more time to prepare the defence.

Ojembe opposed the request, pointing out that the defence had already benefited from several adjournments. He asked the court to grant the delay only if a N500,000 cost penalty was imposed on the defence counsel.

Adeojo rejected the demand for costs and pleaded for an adjournment without sanctions.

Judge Ajayi urged Ojembe to extend professional courtesy to his colleague before granting the request and rescheduling the case for October 13 and 14.

At an earlier sitting in May, the matter had also stalled due to the absence of the defendant’s counsel.

Ojembe had then told the court that Taiwo Akinsulie, Odumodublvck’s lawyer, was outside the court’s jurisdiction and would not return until May 31, prompting a request for a fresh date in early June.
