Davido mocks Drake for losing bet on Ngannou against Joshua

Nigerian Afrobeats star, Davido made fun of Canadian rapper, Drake, after he lost a £478,000 bet on Francis Ngannou defeating Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight boxing bout on Saturday.

Drake had posted a slip of his wager on the fight on his Instagram feed.

Drake was going to get paid a cool £1 million.

He lost the bet though, when Joshua defeated Ngannou in just two rounds.

Ngannou was sent hurtling to the canvas by Joshua’s devastating knockout, and the former UFC champion had to obtain medical attention in the ring before he could rise up.

Drake suffered a weight loss of more than half a million pounds in January after supporting Sean Strickland to defeat Dricus Du Plessis for the middleweight title in the UFC.

The 37-year-old also lost £430,000 when Israel Adesanya suffered a shock defeat against Strickland in the octagon and previously bet £700,000 on Logan Paul to beat Dillon Danis in the boxing ring.

Taking to the comment section, Davido mocked the OVO boss for his loss.

He wrote in Pidgin, “Ur ticket don cut .”

Before the fight, Davido had declared that he was supporting Anthony Joshua because of his Nigerian heritage.

He wrote on his X handle: “As a Nigerian of course I want AJ to win … but e get one soft spirit wey this Francis get and plus his story again … u go come Dey use style gbadun him way!! But gotta stick with the Homeland .”
