“We can wear different hats and we can execute it excellently. That would be what I would love to achieve.

“I have a great team and I feel like we have been working on balance. The people around me have been able to balance things, even balance motherhood as well.

“It is just having the right people and making the right decisions. We do not always have to answer or accept every offer but we do accept the ones that make sense.”

Asked if she had to choose between music and acting, the 44-year-old filmmaker said:

“I would go for the one that is paying more”.

The first episode of “Water and Garri” will air on Prime Video on May 10.

Water and Garri,” which was directed by Meji Alabi and shot in Ghana, is the tale of Aisha, a driven fashion designer.

After ten years abroad in the United States due to the death of a family member, Aisha went back to her home country.

As she reconnected with her family, old friends, and her former love, she had to face the shame she left behind and learn to live with her scars.
