I don’t want to die in emotional pain linked to relationship — Frank Edoho

Popular television host Frank Edoho has said his greatest fear is dying from heartbreak or emotional damage caused by a woman.

He made the remark during an interview on the YouTube channel Outside The Box, where he spoke about vulnerability, silent suffering, and how he wishes to be remembered after death.

“I don’t want to go to the gates of heaven and they ask me what killed me and they say it’s a woman,” he said, stressing that he does not want his life to end in emotional pain linked to relationship.

Edoho, who became widely known as the host of Nigeria’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, said he prefers a life marked by service and kindness rather than emotional regret.

“I want to die with a smile on my face… not that I wish I had more time, that’s all,” he added.

His comments come amid ongoing public controversy surrounding his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, who recently accused him of infidelity, abuse and financial recklessness in a social media post.

She also alleged emotional mistreatment and claims related to their family life, while Edoho separately denied the allegations and made counterclaims.

In the interview, however, Edoho did not directly address the marital dispute.

Instead, he reflected on what he described as the emotional burden carried by men in silence.

“The task of manhood is very daunting. Men don’t speak… some of them go to the grave with it,” he said.

He also revealed that he once endured a deeply difficult personal period for about two years without sharing it publicly, saying he relied on internal strength to cope.

“I was in a very dark hole but nobody knew,” he said, adding that broadcasting had taught him how to maintain composure even under emotional strain.

Edoho, who was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang, said he remains separated from Sandra Onyenucheya for nearly two years before the recent public exchange.
