Actor and digital creator Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, famously known as Nkubi, has opened up about the discrimination and social pushback he has endured throughout his life due to his stature.

In a recent podcast appearance, Nkubi shared that his transition into the acting world was largely driven by the extreme difficulty he faced trying to find standard employment.

The entertainer noted that the full weight of his situation became apparent after he completed secondary school, as he watched his peers easily land the kind of entry-level jobs that remained out of his reach.

“As a child, you barely understood your reality, but you knew you were different from every regular person. When the reality of being a little person first hit me was when I finished secondary school, and I couldn’t secure minor jobs like others.”

The challenges have now extended to his family, as Nkubi’s daughter is currently being targeted by internet trolls who post offensive comments regarding her size. While the actor and his wife admitted they had mentally prepared for the possibility of such negativity, they confessed that the unprovoked online bullying still carries a heavy emotional toll.

Adding to the narrative of resilience, Nkubi’s wife disclosed a shocking experience with a medical professional. She revealed that a doctor once suggested she conceive with a different man to avoid the possibility of having a child with dwarfism—a suggestion she immediately and firmly rejected.
