Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has talked candidly about his experiences with celebrity and how it has affected his privacy.
Bobrisky expressed remorse about the loss of privacy that has come with his rise to fame in an Instagram post that has since been removed.
He said he wished he had never been popular, highlighting the intrusive aspect of social media, where every post is examined and privacy is jeopardized.
Bobrisky pointed out that it can be difficult to uphold personal boundaries in Nigeria’s online community.
He acknowledged the downsides of fame, including the constant monitoring and attention.
Bobrisky emphasized the need to keep personal information private, away from social media, to avoid unwanted attention and scrutiny.
His post reads:
“Every spirit of monitoring spirit in my life, dissapear.Imagine posting and people are trying to know your location. I lost my privacy ever since I became famous.I wish I was never famous.You just have to keep everything about you away from social Nigeriais too toxic”.
