Reality TV star Phyna has revealed she does not want biological children, saying she would rather raise pets instead.
The former Big Brother Naija winner shared this in a video, noting that her position is shaped by her personal experiences and views on relationships.
“I’m very fertile, but I don’t have any desire to have a biological child. I just wanna be a cat and dog mum,” she said.
Phyna noted that many women begin to form stronger emotional bonds with pets as they enter their 30s, especially after experiencing multiple failed relationships.
According to her, repeated heartbreak can influence how women view love and commitment, leading them to seek peace and fulfilment in alternative forms of companionship.
She added that she believes she is at a stage in her life where companionship with animals provides the comfort she needs.
“I think the love for animals in women kicks in when we’re approaching our 30s, some of them in their mid-30s, late 30s, especially when you don’t see yourself settling down. Maybe you’ve been in too many broken relationships, you’ve gone through too many heartbreaks, I don’t know.
“So women tend to start developing a likeness for pets like that, and I think I’m in that stage. I think I’m in that stage right now,” she added.
