Veteran actor Pete Edochie has voiced his sorrow over the death of his younger colleague, Junior Pope, calling it both unfortunate and unexpected.
Edochie mourned the loss of Junior Pope and four others in a boat accident, referring to the late actor as his son and lamenting that his life was tragically cut short.
He appealed to Nigerians to pray for the acceptance of Junior Pope’s spirit and to move beyond the social media drama that erupted following his passing, describing the deceased as a gift to the world.
Additionally, Edochie acknowledged the well-known businessman E-Money for stepping in to take care of Junior Pope’s children.
“His life was cut short the way we never expected it; we shall all go someday, but not in this manner. I want to make a general appeal. Let us pray to God to accept the soul of Junior Pope and cut out the nonsense people have been putting out on social media. Let us allow his soul to rest. I am making an appeal. My son Junior pope was a gift to the entire world,” Pete said in a video.
