During a recent interview with on-air personality Cheche Smith on Wazobia FM, Paul Okoye, widely known as Rudeboy, shared insights into his focus on his solo career, emphasizing a clear departure from his time as part of the legendary duo, P-Square, alongside his twin brother, Peter Okoye.
He highlighted that although music initially brought them together, his creative vision now differs from his brother’s. “This is the same voice, same me,” he said, clarifying that he no longer conceals his intentions. “I am here for Rudeboy. If you bring up P-Square, I’ll tell you there’s nothing like that—no P-Square for now.”
Rudeboy acknowledged that fans might have felt some disappointment when he briefly redirected his focus to P-Square last year. However, he clarified that his solo path as “Rudeboy” is now his main priority.
He admitted to feeling like he “wasted” time by not pursuing his personal brand earlier. However, he assured fans of his commitment to releasing new music and expanding the Rudeboy brand going forward.

We want to watch your other brother musical videos , listen to his song, sweet or not, we want to support whatever business he brings on. He’s is the one God gave the marketing, free advertisement that your group needs. If you part with him, the rest might just be noise.”
