Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has revealed that many Nollywood celebrities are not as financially comfortable as many think.
Speaking during a recent podcast hosted by her colleague Baaj Adebule, Shine Rosman said one of the biggest misconceptions about Nollywood stars is the belief that they are all wealthy, which she noted is not completely true.
She explained that contrary to public opinion, many actors in the Nigerian movie industry are facing financial difficulties.
She noted that the movie stars who are financially buoyant make most of their money from other ventures.
Rosman said, “The most overrated misconception about Nollywood stars is that we have money. I don’t know why people assume we have money. Some of us do have money, but from other ventures. But many of us are struggling financially.”
