A Nollywood actress, Seilat Adeyemo, has announced the passing of her father.
The actress shared the development in an Instagram post on Monday, stating that he “fought so hard” before he died.
Adeyemo expressed deep sorrow over the loss, saying the experience has left her “shattered and broken”.
She also appealed for understanding from fans and well-wishers, explaining that she is not in the right state of mind to respond to messages for now.
“My dad fought so hard, but God loved him more and called him home to rest. I never imagined I would feel this shattered and broken. Losing a parent is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone,” she wrote.
“I see all your calls and messages, but I’m not in the right state of mind to respond right now. I will get back when I can. Thank you for all the love. The pain runs so deep, losing the one God used to create you.”
The actress, however, did not reveal the cause of death or when he passed away.
Adeyemo began her acting career in the early 2000s but rose to prominence with her role in the 2013 film ‘Imoran’.
She has since established herself in the Yoruba film industry, appearing in numerous productions.
