Nollywood actress Jumoke George warns women against BBL surgery

Nollywood actress Jumoke George has warned ladies against undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.

Her warning follows the death of a 36-year-old Lagos patient after a butt enlargement treatment, which resulted in the medical professional’s imprisonment.

Jumoke questioned why women desire BBL, posing the question of whether they are unhappy with their natural bodies and, in essence, accusing God of having erred in making them.

She emphasised that God’s creations are perfect and that seeking unnecessary surgical enhancements can lead to harmful consequences, including death.

In a video on Instagram, Jumoke said in part:

“Women, what is the colour of our problem? Because if I say I understand I am lying. The scripture says every creature was made in the image of God the most high.

“You females looking at me whose image do you think you were created? Are you telling God that He does not know what He was doing? God is perfect. What then are we looking for? God has given some long life but they intentionally cut off their lives. Stay away from BBL”.

Recall that, Mercy Eke talked about her experience with body enhancement surgery and her reasons for going through the procedure.
Eke disclosed in a recent edition of the Love Is A Game podcast that she had lip augmentation, liposuction, and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in 2018, all of which were motivated by peer pressure and trends.

She acknowledged that following the social trends of the day rather than being dissatisfied with her appearance was her original driving force.

“To be honest, at first, I followed the trend by undergoing body enhancement surgery,” Eke said.

“I did my body enhancement surgery in 2018. It was just the trend and peer pressure that made me do it. Because I actually had a very good body shape. I was slim with curves in the right places as an African woman. But maybe, my stomach was a little bit too much then.”
