Controversial reality TV star, Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, widely known as Phyna, faced ridicule for mispronouncing the food regulatory agency NAFDAC as “NAFTAG” during an endorsement for a business venture.
A video circulating on social media features the ex-BBNaija contestant endorsing a herbal brand to her Instagram followers.
However, while trying to reassure her audience about the product’s certification by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), she made an error.
Phyna’s mispronunciation of “NAFDAC” as “NAF-TAG” elicited diverse reactions from social media users, with some mocking her while others speculated that it might have been intentional.
In response to the criticism, Phyna engaged with the comment section of a post where she was being criticized for the mispronunciation.
