The Nigerian gospel musician Aduke Ajayi, best known by her stage name Aduke Gold, has passed away.
Another gospel singer, Esther Igbekele, shared the news of her passing on Instagram on Tuesday.
Igbekele posted a photo of the late singer along with the words, “RIP Aduke Gold, a general has fallen.”
It was reported that she died on Monday at the University College Hospital in Oyo state’s Ibadan.
Her cause of death is still unknown as of the time this story was written. Regarding her passing, Aduke’s family has not yet released an official comment.
In the comment area of Igbeleke’s post, both celebrities and fans have expressed their condolences for the singer, who is well-known for her incredible live performances.
Aduke Gold began his musical career in the middle of the 2000s, but it wasn’t until the publication of “Nitori Ogo” (which translates to “Because of Glory”) in 2021 that he began to achieve popularity.

Aduke Gold battled with vertigo, which caused frequent fainting spells. It was a constant challenge she faced while pursuing her music career.
