Rising Nigerian singer Chimamanda Chukwuma, better known by her stage name Qing Madi, has stated that she would love to work with Burna Boy and Wizkid, two of the country’s biggest musical talents.
The musician also stated that she wishes to collaborate with other musicians like Wande Coal, Simi, and Fave as her career develops.
During a discussion about her artistic path, Qing Madi—who has previously worked with Victony and BNXN, two of her favourite artists—shared her dreams.
She pointed out her desire to work with industry heavyweights such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Simi, and Fave, expressing hope that these collaborations will come to fruition at some point in her career.
“The only artistes I have collaborated with are Victony and BNXN. They are actually two of my favorite artistes. However, I would still love to collaborate with Wizkid, Fave, Wande Coal, Simi, and Burna Boy. That is my dream, and I hope that I can achieve them at some point in my career,” Qing Madi said in the interview.
The ‘See Finish’ crooner also discussed her vision of leaving a lasting legacy and gaining international recognition.
She expressed her desire to be prosperous but emphasized that she does not want to limit herself with mere words.
“I want to be a prosperous person, but I don’t want to limit myself by saying a bunch of words. I know that there will be a lot of work, as well as international recognition and growth,” she said.
Reflecting on the impact of her music on fans, Qing Madi expressed joy in the ability to influence people’s lives positively.
“I love the fact that I can impact some people’s lives by just saying the simplest words. And, I always use it for good. I engage with my fans, and they are usually so excited, which, in turn, makes me happy. I love the power music gives to one to influence people’s lives,” she added.
