Nigerian musician Boy Spyce, also known as Ugbekile David Osemeke, shows his respect for Simi through his assertion that her incredible skill is not properly recognised.
Recall that Simi has faced criticism from certain online users who believe she has to modify her voice because it is monotonous.
Boy Spyce responded to the criticism by saying that Simi served as inspiration for a song he was working on recently and that the critics didn’t realise how much Simi could do.
Boy Spyce praised Simi for her unique voice. He emphasized that Simi’s versatility and creativity set her apart in the music industry.
Taking to his X handle, the singer wrote:
“Writing a ballad song rn in my car and jamming Simi’s Simisola album for inspo … Omo y’all don’t realize how talented that woman is!”
In a different story, Boy Spyce becomes upset with his admirer for giving him a higher rating than Davido.
After Boy Spyce took a social media break, one overly enthusiastic fan with the Twitter handle @Lonerszn30 rated him higher than Davido, claiming that the Mavin act is now more well-known in the industry than Omo Baba Olowo.
In response to a post by Davido thanking fans for the overwhelming support he received following the release of his new album, TIMELESS, he made the comment.
Boy Spyce’s Fan took to the comment section and said: “Boy Spyce is now bigger than you.”
On seeing the comment, the ‘Folake’ crooner insinuated that @Lonerszn30 was speaking under the influence of hard drugs.
He urged the guy to quit taking dangerous substances and emphasised that Davido is a mentor to him.
Spyce wrote; “Stay away from hard drugs pls . Na my Idolo be that.”
