The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has instructed its state chapters to organise special prayer sessions in memory of late actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

The directive was issued in a memorandum signed by TAMPAN President, Bolaji Amusan, also known as Mr Latin, following the actor’s death.

Amusan called on all state chapters to dedicate part of their next meetings to a special prayer session in honour of the deceased actor.

“Following the recent passing of our beloved colleague, Ogogo, all State Chapters are hereby directed to include a special prayer session in the next State meeting,” the memorandum read.

He said the prayers should seek God’s forgiveness for members, protection for the living and preservation of members from death, sickness and destruction.

The association also urged members to pray for the forgiveness and peaceful repose of deceased colleagues.

“All State Governors are kindly requested to ensure compliance. May God protect and preserve us all, forgive our sins, and grant the departed eternal rest. Amen,” he added.

The veteran actor died after battling stage-four cancer.

His daughter announced the news in a live video.
