The senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has stated that he does not want his wife Regina Daniels to return home.

In a statement posted on his social media pages on Tuesday, Nwoko claimed that her recent actions and allegations are driven by a serious dependency on hard drugs.

In the detailed statement, the senator said that Daniels should be “encouraged to go for therapy”.

He alleged that Daniels has been dealing with substance abuse for months, with her condition worsening significantly over the past eight months.

According to Nwoko, she became violent, “destroying cars and other properties,” after he issued a final warning via WhatsApp on October 17.

He explained that the message served as an ultimatum for her to resume rehabilitation or lose financial support.

The statement described a significant decline, alleging that Daniels neglected personal hygiene, lied frequently, and kept company with friends who promoted drug use.

Nwoko mentioned that he tolerated friends such as Phyna in an effort to “manage Regina’s situation”.

“Senator Ned Nwoko is not chatting with Regina and he does not want her back in the house. All he is insisting on is that she should be encouraged to go to therapy. It is important to state that Regina continues to be completely under the influence of hard drugs and whatever she says are lies from the pit of hell,” the statement reads.

He dismissed her claims of “drugs and sex” as untrue and referenced their WhatsApp correspondence from October 17 as proof of his frustrations and his ultimatum of “return to rehabilitation or no longer will fund your lifestyle”.

Nwoko said that after receiving the message, she became aggressive, damaging vehicles and other belongings. He added that her behaviour changed drastically—she became unkempt, dishonest, and had to be reminded to bathe or sleep in her room. He said the transformation became severe in the last eight months.

He also cited a personal incident to highlight her “irrational” behaviour, saying she once followed him into his bathroom, recorded him, and posted the video online.

The statement included an excerpt from the October 17 WhatsApp message, which expressed his concerns about Daniels inviting friends at odd hours and his belief that they exposed her to drugs.

It added: “Then came Phyna with her friends. He tolerated them only because he was trying to manage Regina’s situation. He woke up one morning around 5am to use the bathroom and suddenly found Regina in his bathroom. He was shocked that she videoed him in the bathroom and posted it online. That is how irrational she had become in those moments.”

He insisted that anyone who cares about Daniels or their children should ensure she is taken to a reputable rehabilitation centre, as this would put an end to the ongoing issues. He also referenced the WhatsApp message warning her about late-night gatherings and noise, and urging her to choose between continuing therapy or checking into the Asokoro rehab facility.

Nwoko said she was progressing in rehabilitation until her birthday, when she, along with friends, allegedly spent four days at a Wuse 2 hotel engaging in drugs, violence, and altercations with police and guests—an incident he described as the turning point.

He stressed that priority should be placed on ensuring she receives therapy or rehabilitation, at least for the sake of their two children, adding that clarity would bring the truth to light.

Their dispute began in October after a viral video showed Daniels crying and accusing him of domestic abuse.

Nwoko later denied the accusations, saying his wife was battling drug and alcohol addiction.

Daniels eventually admitted to using hard drugs but alleged that Nwoko had contributed to her addiction as part of a pattern of control and manipulation.
